Integral blinds are a neat and stylish alternative to curtains, external blinds and other window dressings, and a growing trend amongst homeowners thanks to their very low maintenance. Offer integral blinds along with your next window or door installation, and get the edge over your competitors.
Product Features
When it comes to dressing windows in order to provide both shading and privacy, the Uni-Blind® ‘between the glass’ option is the stand-out solution.
With this system, the blinds are enclosed within the double glazed units and are fitted into our range of uPVC and aluminium window and door frames.
Being sealed inside the glass means the blind control system is the only thing mounted on the face of the glass or frame.
As a result, windows and doors with Uni-Blinds® built in always look sleek, clean, uncluttered, and ultra-modern.
The blind itself never needs cleaning, as it is sealed permanently between the panes of glass, a space ordinarily filled with argon gas – so why not make better use of that space for a blind instead?

Choose from a range of integral blinds available.
Venetian blind slats are designed with minimal width so that they can sit comfortably between the panes of glass in the most common sized double glazed units – usually 20mm, 22mm, or 27mm.
A slim Venetian blind option is also available, which can be fitted into a 16mm cavity, typical with many older windows and doors that were installed prior to the much higher thermal standards in place today.
Integrated Venetian blinds are ideal for French doors, patio doors, sliding and bi-fold doors, as well as windows throughout the home or commercial building.
With pleated integral blinds, the fabric is designed to fold neatly with years of repeated raising and lowering.
These are available in a range of high-quality fabrics and colours, as well as in a blackout option, ideal for children’s nurseries and places where light pollution at night is a problem. They are also perfectly suited to rooms that have condensation, such as bathrooms and kitchens.
The P-system is a Venetian blind system designed specifically for the commercial market, featuring a 12.5mm slat designed to be integrated into a double-glazed unit with a 20mm cavity.
The P System has a tilt only function and is manually operated via a wire drive controlled by an external knob on one side of the window. The specially designed corner key containing the rotational magnet is connected to the external knob by a flexible drive cable located within the glazing cavity of the window frame.
Due to the narrow cavity, the system can be used in almost all types of existing window frames, whilst the special design allows the aesthetic quality to be maintained in whatever environment it is installed.
The only visible control is the external knob fixed to the window frame, allowing the glass surface to remain completely free and easy to clean.
These particular features make the P System ideal for public environments such as hospitals or government offices where a variety of people need to operate this simple but highly protected system.
Control Systems
There are five different control options available, suitable to your customers’ preferences, requirements, and budget.
This allows a pleated blind to be raised and lowered without any cords. The slider is positioned on the bottom rail of the blind and slides up and down the glass thanks to a clever combination of magnets.
The blind is operated using a patented magnetically controlled slider positioned on the side of the double glazed unit which allows a Venetian blind to be raised, lowered and tilted.
This advanced motorised integral blind system allows operation of the blinds using a remote control device, wall mounted controls or automatically via a home automation system.
Simple and elegant, the C System works in a way that is familiar to any other type of blind. You can choose a cord to raise, lower and tilt the blind or alternatively specify a knob or wand to operate the blind.
With no hardwiring needed, the W Smart is ideal for homeowners looking for a simple motorised blind system for their windows and doors. It takes its power from the sun, via a small photovoltaic panel mounted on the outside of the door or window – low carbon automation and highly desirable.
